A MIAGINI jewel will last a long time if you know how to take care of it. Here is some information about the materials used and how to keep them beautiful over time.
Materials
Our collections may include, depending on the model (check the description of each product):
- Sterling silver 925 — a silver alloy with greater resistance than pure silver;
- Gold / gold plating (gold-filled or gold-plated) — a layer of gold applied to a base metal, for appearance and durability;
- Gold-plated stainless steel — very resistant to scratches, water, and oxidation, suitable for daily wear;
- Semi-precious stones / cubic zirconia / crystals — used as decorative elements, hand-set.

General care rules
- Avoid contact of the jewelry with perfume, cream, sea water, pool chlorine, and cosmetics — apply them before putting on the jewelry, not after;
- Remove jewelry before showering, bathing, sleeping, sports, or household activities (washing dishes, cleaning);
- Store each piece separately, in a closed box or pouch, away from air, moisture, and direct light, to prevent scratches and oxidation;
- Avoid mechanical shocks and rubbing against hard surfaces.
Cleaning
- Wipe the jewelry after wearing with a soft, dry, microfiber cloth;
- For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water with a little neutral detergent, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth — avoid abrasive chemicals or ultrasounds if the piece has glued stones or is gold-plated;
- For lightly oxidized sterling silver 925, a special silver polishing cloth can be used.
What is normal over time
It is natural that, over time, platings may fade slightly, and silver may acquire a patina, depending on the frequency of wear and contact with chemicals. Proper care considerably delays this process.
